$5 Blouse

I really felt like shopping the other day as I have had 2 gift cards burning a hole in my pocket (one from Christmas and one from Valentine's Day - clearly my husband knows the right thing to buy me) I didn't actually find very many things on my first attempt, but I did manage to pick up a pair of jeans and this green blouse. Best deal of the day......this blouse was $5.00 sold! and I still have lots of gift card remaining.

Had a great time with some friends yesterday. I love that you can have different relationships with different friends. There are the friends that you see all the time and talk to everyday, the ones you don't get to see very often but every time you do you pick up as if you just saw them the day before and the ones you can sit in the drive way with and chat forever because you just love to talk to them. I am blessed to have many different types of friends and I love them all. The older you get the more difficult it is to formulate close friendships and I really believe that women especially, need close friends in their lives. Thank you to all of mine!

I have been on the look out for a clutch for a very long time. Finally found this one last week-end. Added my own little lock to it and I am in love.
Going to celebrate two friends Birthday's today, they were calling for a big winter storm but so far the sun is shining and it's a crisp 2 degrees. Let's hope it stays that way.

I am beyond excited as I just booked tickets to go see Oprah! (again) Anyone who knows me knows Oprah is one of my biggest idols. I was lucky enough to see her last year and it was an experience I will never forget. Whoo hooooo.....this is a great way to start a Monday!

Super casual outfit from yesterday, great for lots of running around. Leggings and sweatshirt.

Striped Belt and Pink Shoes

Remember these material belts? I think this one is at least 10 years old. I hung onto it through the years because I loved the colours in it. Pink, blue, yellow, green, it has them all. So pairing it with my pink sneakers seemed like a good idea. I'm off to take my son to Tae Kwon Do, is there anything cuter than little kids learning martial arts?

Old Navy

As I mentioned earlier this week, I have been neglecting my coloured jeans. So here are my red jeans with my cream blouse that I have worn a few times (with my light green and blue jeans) in the past. I got both the jeans and blouse at Old Navy and together it was under $50. Love when you can buy a top and pants for under $50!
Happy Friday.

Denis Gagnon

Something about wearing black and is my comfort zone. As much as I love colour and I do, there is an easy feeling about black and white. Plus I am a sucker for t-shirts with any kind of graphic. I love this t-shirt by designer Denis Gagnon. It is basically a self portrait. (Also kinda reminded me of my husband when I saw it as he wears the same kind of glasses!)

I feel as though I have been neglecting my coloured jeans lately. I have gotten into a rut and need to get out. So this week I am pulling out my burgundy and red jeans! I love that burgundy jeans are similar to a neutral and go with everything. I've paired them with yet another striped sweater. Comfy and cozy.

I have been really good about not shopping lately. I try to avoid Malls as the temptation is too great. I stopped into Walmart 2 weeks ago to pick up some items for my Valentine's Day party, as I was walking through the aisles, out of the corner of my eye I spotted this cardigan. Now I don't usually buy clothes in Walmart, but I am an equal opportunity shopper, I am not a brand label person, I don't care who makes something as long as I like it. I'm a believer that if you know how to wear something it shouldn't matter where it came from. Plus the final decider, this sweater was on clearance for $5. Sold!

Family Day

In 2008 a new holiday began in Ontario called Family Day. A day in which we don't have to go to work or school, a day you get to hang out and spend time with your Family! So today that is just what we are doing. My husband, son and I are spending the day together. We made Cinnabon's for breakfast and are in the process of planning the rest of our day.
Hope everyone else enjoy's their Monday as much as we will be.

Sunday.....Quote Day

Had such a fun afternoon yesterday with some great women. Ate all day long and laughed till our sides hurt. Then in the evening finally had the chance to watch Skyfall with the hubby. Gotta love James Bond!  All in all a great day. Today is Sunday, so here is a quote from one of my idols.

Your vs. You're

My mom (who is the biggest fan of my blog) called me last night to let me know as kindly as she could that I am using the words YOUR and YOU'RE incorrectly in my blog. My mom who is a freelance writer and amazing at it, is still trying to help her adult daughter with her spelling and grammatical errors. As wonderful as my mom is at writing, I am not. So please accept my sincere apology for any past or (most likely) future inaccuracies in either my grammar or spelling.

On another note - I picked up this dress in the summer for $12.99! Best part, adding my fleece lined tights and it is good for the winter. Now this is something I know my Mom would approve.
