Love

I love my "Love" sweater. Know what else I love....that it is Friday! We have a fun night planned that involves dinner with friends and live music. What is everyone else planning for this hopefully sunny warm week-end?  Whatever it is I hope it is filled with lots of Love.

Fuschia & White

Today out of nowhere the temperature has risen to what feels like 30 degrees. Not sure how this happened since a few days ago it felt like 10 degrees. You will not however, ever hear me complain about how HOT it is. The Hotter the better. Since I spent most of the winter complaining about how cold it was, I am sure this will be a welcome reprieve.

Leopard & Stripes

The weather has been driving me crazy. One day it is super hot and feels like Summer. The next day it is raining and freezing, feeling like Fall. I figure this kind of outfit I am safe either way. Lots of blue, some stripes and leopard and I am good to go.

Reality TV

I had a great night last night with some friends. It is tradition on Monday nights to get together, eat lots of junk food and watch the "Bachelorette"or whatever other reality tv show we are currently addicted to. It is not just about watching a tv show, but rather about spending time with friends, laughing and creating memories.

You Can't Wear Red

This is what I was told most of my life. "You Can't Wear Red"....because of your hair colour, skin tone...etc. A few years back I decided to ignore all of this and wear whatever colour I wanted. Now I do know that some colours look better with certain skin tones and hair colours and I am not arguing that fact, however, I also know that when you feel good in what you are wearing, you look good, end of story. So, hence my red top below. I bet at some point someone probably also said, do not wear python pants....oh well.

Sleepless Night

Last night was a rough night. My son woke up several times through out the night crying that he could not sleep and was having bad dreams, all he wanted was for me to sleep with him.  My husband was getting up at 6:30am to go golfing, so in an attempt to please everyone, I brought my son to our spare room and slept there. It was close to 3am before I was able to fall asleep. My husband was kind (or not) enough to wake me up to say good-by before he left. Ug! This quote of the day seems some what fitting.

Plaid Shirts

I have seen this look many times but have not tried it until today. It is perfect for a day of running errands. Plaid shirts are so versatile and can be worn so many ways. Definitely a good investment.

Bows & Stripes

Last night for my husband's Birthday I had a surprise dinner set up at a restaurant with some of his closest friends. Mission Surprise Dinner was a success, he had no idea and was utterly shocked. It was fun to watch his expression, nothing better than surprises!
This is what I wore. It was ridiculously cold last night so my visions of wearing a cute summer dress faded as the day was filled with rain and dropping temperatures. I did refuse however, to give up wearing my sandals.

Meringue's

I am not proud of myself. On Monday it was a holiday here and we had a big family BBQ. My Mom made the most delicious dessert. Meringue bowls filled with fruit and whipped cream. There were exactly 3 left over which was perfect my Mom pointed out, one for myself, my son and my husband the next day. Well last night I remembered them and my son and I ate ours in record time. My husband was heading out for the night so didn't have time for his. Well once my son was fast asleep and my husband was long gone, I could not resist and ended up eating my husbands as well. Like I said, I am not proud of myself but was it ever good!!
It is a wonder how I can still fit in this dress.

The Long Island Medium

Does anyone else watch "The Long Island Medium"? I love this show but have yet to watch an episode that did not end in tears and the box of kleenex beside me on the couch. I have to be prepared when I watch, no make-up on and I can't be going out for the rest of that night/day my eyes will be too red and swollen.
Onto the outfit....I bought this shirt by accident. I really needed a navy blue one and was in a rush and grabbed this one, which once I got home I realized was in fact black not blue! Oh well the hunt for a dark navy blue shirt continues.

Glow in the Dark

Today is Victoria Day, honouring the Queen's Birthday. Last night we had a great time in the park across the street watching fireworks with some friends. My son had a had tons of fun with the sparklers and glow in the dark necklaces. That is until I noticed bits of his hair were glowing in the dark. Somehow he had managed to break the necklace and bits of whatever is inside these necklaces was in his hair, at least I could keep track of him in the dark.
Just bought this skirt the other day, couldn't resist the $8.99 price tag! Love how it can be dressed up or worn with a tank and flip flops.
