Happiness

Sunday quote day.....I am still in Vegas! Will be heading home tomorrow. In the meantime here is a classic and one that a lot of people over look. When you spend so much time looking for happiness you will miss out that it might just already be there.

Night Out

Since going out in the evenings is a must in Vegas, I try and pack easy outfits that can be thrown on and not thought about too much. This is one I will be wearing out. This dress is great for dressing up (heels, necklace) or dressing down (throwing on over your bathing suit and wearing flip flops). Either way it is the perfect little dress to include.

Shopping Outfit

As you read this I am most likely lying by a pool in Las Vegas enjoying myself. I did take some pic of my outfits before I left. When I pack I generally try on every outfit I am bringing to ensure everything works and colour co-ordinates (yes I am crazy like that). This is what I like to think of as an easy shopping outfit. With the temps in the 40's in vegas this will work.

Matchy Match

I normally try not be too matchy match but when I realized that these shoes and dress match perfectly, I could not resist. I bought each item about 6 months apart and never even thought about the one going with the other. So even though I don't like to over match, I have made an exception and worn them together.
Last night was my 13 year old nieces Grade 8 Graduation. I spent 2.5 hours doing her hair and make-up and consulting on jewellery choices, it was fun for me and she looked beautiful. Nothing makes you feel older then when you look at someone you have been with since birth and realize they are no longer a child.

Sweatshirt Dress

Could there be a more comfortable dress? It is like wearing your favourite sweatshirt only it is a dress (with pockets)! I had a great night last night, dinner with some friends & lots of laughs. I am starting to get excited for my mini getaway to Las Vegas. Cannot believe I leave tomorrow. Good-bye rain hello sunshine.

Shorts Weather

It is finally hot enough for shorts. I know most people thought it was hot enough a long time ago but it takes me a while longer. I think I have only worn shorts out one other time so far this summer.  This is what I wore yesterday to my parents place for dinner and a stroll along the new pier down by the lake.

Quote Day

Yesterday was a busy day. Although our Garage Sale lasted a mere 2.5 hrs (due to the rain) it was just enough time to be profitable! Earned some fun money for my upcoming trip and am one step closer to an organized house. On another note, I love the below quote and need to sometimes remind myself that just because I may not always understand why something happens when it does, there may be a bigger reason, I just haven't seen yet.

Yellow & Grey

Happy Friday!! I have a busy day ahead as we are having a Garage Sale tomorrow and I still have a ton to do. I have been on the never ending quest of organizing my house and since I am a major pack rat I have  a hard time letting things go. Wish me luck and pray the rain stays away until the afternoon.

Stained Glass Window

Not sure why but every time I look at this shirt it reminds me of a stained glass window. I love the combination of blues and greens together. I do however, apologize once again as I can see that this shirt is in need of a serious iron. (I did take it off and iron it afterwards).

White Dress

I would probably be too scared to buy an all white dress, too many possibilities of spilling stuff onto it. However, when a friend gave me this dress, I gladly accepted it. I love the bottom portion and am pretty sure at some point I am going to add something on top so I can wear it as a skirt, that way there is less chance of any accidents.

Hearts

Not sure if I have mentioned this or not before, but I am pretty much a sucker for anything with a heart on it. If a shirt has a heart on it, chances are I am gonna love it. When I was shopping with my sister for my niece in the kids section I couldn't help notice this shirt. I held it up to show my sister and then went wait a minute I think this would fit me. I pulled it on right then and there to check and sure enough it fit.  So this is what I have now resorted to, shopping in the children's section. Oh and the fact that it was $2.40 is what sealed the deal.

Lady Bugs

I am not usually a fan of any kind of bug, but I have to admit when I saw this dress, I loved the pattern. I mean lady bugs are pretty cute. (except for those ones that bite of course). Shirt dresses are so easy for the summer, this one didn't come with a belt so I added my own.

Father's Day

I am so lucky to have a wonderful Dad. I could not even begin to sum up how much he means to me or how much he has done for me over the years. When I saw the below quote I knew it spoke the words I wish I could have.  I am also blessed to have a husband who is also such an amazing father to our son. So I want to wish them both and the many other amazing Father's I know a very very Happy Father's Day!! May you all be spoiled rotten today.

Patterned Pants

I am loving patterned pants right now. I didn't want to go with a black shirt this time so I decided on this colbat blue shirt. The weather is beautiful today and I am keeping my fingers crossed the rest of the week-end will be the same.
