July Budget

I bought this tunic last summer and keep forgetting about it. I love the design and of course the fact that it is black and white is perfect. My brother and my two nieces arrive today for a 5 day visit, so looking forward to having them. As it is the last day of July I have my total budget and I must say I was pretty darn good this month. Total spent was only $107! Here is the breakdown: 1 Sweatshirt, 1 Dress, 1 Jacket, 1 Blazer, 1 pair of shoes, 2 T-shirts, 1 Belt,  a necklace and a bracelet.....not bad!

Graphic Tee

I love these graphic tee's, they go with everything because there are so many colours to match up. We had a great day shopping yesterday and I managed to do quite well and stay within budget. A very big Happy Birthday to my niece today who is turning 14! Yikes how did that happen? I still remember holding her as a baby. Time fly's so enjoy every minute.

The Letter P

A friend of mine many years ago, bought me this letter "P" pin. I wore it on my winter jacket for many years. I no longer wear that jacket and had forgotten all about this pin until the other day when I was going through the closet to see what I could get rid of and low and behold there was my letter "P". So I have brought it back into rotation. Today I am off to spend the day shopping with my Mom, Sister and Niece just when I was so close to the end of July, it looks like I may have to ruin my budget for the month. Wish me luck or better yet no luck so I don't buy anything!

Safety not Guaranteed

Last night we watched the movie "Safety not Guaranteed"it was a cute movie and had tons of great people in it. Jake Johnson from "New Girl", Mark Duplass from "The Mindy Project" and even Kristen Bell from "Veronica Mars" had a cameo. If you have seen this movie then you will understand the relation to the quote I found below. I love this quote. Hope everyone is enjoying their week-ends.

Benefits of a Pack Rat

It is Friday!!! Keeping it casual today. I love the combination of pink and grey. This shirt is so old I have no idea where I got it, I love the design and colours. As much as being a pack rat is not so great sometimes, it definitely has it's perks, like when you find clothes that you had long forgotten about and they are not outdated and still fit.... it is a win win situation.

Sparkle

I love the sparkle of this top. A friend of mine bought it for my Birthday las year and I love it. I last wore it in November See it Here with jeans and a blazer. It is definitely a year round top! Don't mind the awkward arms in the pic below, still haven't mastered how to stand and what to do with my arms.

"To Go" Pile

I have had this shirt in my "to go" pile for over a year (you know the pile of clothes that sits somewhere forever and you want to get rid of it but something is holding you back) and for some reason I just could never quite let go of it. I just realized when looking at these pictures that the design kind of looks like an owl. Anyone else see that or is it just me, cause I really love owls so I may just have to keep it for another year.

Outside My Comfort Zone

This outfit is definitely a little outside my comfort zone. I actually bought a lilac blouse to wear with this skirt but when I was going through my T-shirt drawer I came across this one I had forgotten about and the colour matched perfect. I like the mix of a casual tee with a skirt.

Blue Lace

I love this navy blue lace top, and as mentioned before I love my white jeans. I paired them with flat sandals to keep it casual. Hope everyone had a great week-end. We shared it with some friends and had a wonderful time. Monday's as usual come way too fast.

Pintrest Mom's

Pintrest Mom's .....is there such a thing? I think these are those Super Mom's who post all of the amazing things they make, decorate, diy, wear etc..... I thought this quote was perfect cause I want some of those amazing Mom's to come and help me!!

Week-end Wear

This is pretty much what you will find me wearing most week-ends in the summer. Shorts and a tank! I am a complete sucker for anything with hearts on it so this tank was a must have. I also love converse, I have white, pink and blue ones but loved that these were a little different.

Striped Dresses

I never realized before that I have a bit of a thing for striped dresses. That is the best thing about having this blog, it is a great way for me to see exactly what I have, what I need to STOP buying and what is lacking in my wardrobe. So if any of my friends are reading this, next time we go shopping and I reach for a striped dress, remind me of this post!!
Of course this blue and coral one I could not resist, the colours were great and check out the back of the dress, this is what sold me. (Oh and check at the bottom for some of my other striped dresses).
