Black Friday

Happy Black Friday! I don't remember this being a very big deal last year over here in Canada but apparently all of the stores are having huge sales and most opened at 7am this morning. I am sure all of my fellow shopoholics have already braved the stores and I must admit I am a little behind. Being the farthest thing from a morning person I just couldn't quite get going at 6am to shop, now don't get me wrong I am still heading out very shortly to see if there is anything left, wish me luck.

Too many Pants

I spent quite a while the other day cleaning out my closet. Well, I actually only got around to doing my pants. I tried on 40 pairs (and this did not include jeans), I managed to get rid of about 5 pairs, not very productive but I have a hard time with letting clothes go. I am moving onto my jeans next and I plan to double the "to go" pile, aiming for 10!

Mix n Match

I bought this skirt this past summer and love it. I wasn't sure quite what I wanted to wear with it and came up with a short blue jacket (see below). I knew there must be another way and then I remembered this sweater I bought a couple years ago. Instantly turned this skirt into what looks like a dress. A win-win situation!

Phillip Lim

When the Phillip Lim line came out at Target I totally missed it. By the time I got to a Target it was long gone. It was the bags I really wanted and a couple of the tops. So yesterday when I popped into Target I did a quick scan through the clothes and low and behold way back hidden in a rack was this top, one that I had originally wanted, in my size and only $10! Love it when that happens.

Simple Outfit

This is an outfit I wore this week-end. Nothing special about it just a couple of the things I love, stripes, turtleneck, boots. The weather has definitely turned and it is mighty cold outside, gonna have to pull out the long-johns soon!

First Snowfall

Yesterday was our first official snowfall and I wanted to cry. Now most of this snow did not last (thank goodness) however, there is a light layer still on my deck. I am really hoping it will melt away and I will not have to see it again for at least a little while longer.

Black Blazer #2

So yesterday I showed you this black blazer with Pants and a blouse so today I am showing it with a new dress I bought recently. This dress has everything I love, long sleeves, interesting pattern and pockets! Blazers work perfectly over dresses and add an extra layer of warmth in the winter.

Black Blazer

If your have been following my blog then you know one thing I could never live without would be a Black Blazer. I own several different styles but the one thing they all have in common is that they are such an important staple piece. I wear them all year round for all different occasions. I thought over the next 3 days I would show the same blazer in 3 different outfits. Here is the first one.

Black & Grey

I can tell the winter is coming as I seem to be wearing lots of dark colours lately. Blacks and Grey's definitely represent how I feel about the upcoming winter season. Last  night we saw our very first snow flurries and luckily it did not stick to the ground, however, it was still an awful sight for me.  Dreaming of spring/summer has begun.

Vests - Coat # 4

This is the last coat I am showing in this 4 Coat series. I love a vest for days when it is cold but you will be in and out. Like running errands or shopping. I hate wearing a coat when you are shopping and end up getting warm and having to carry your coat around. Wearing a vest allows your arms to be free and clear for lots of searching through racks!

Coats #2

So I realized because I take all of my pics inside, you will never get to see any of my coats. Since I posted one of them on Tuesday, I decided the next 3 posts would show a few of my many coats. This is my favourite trench coat, I love it and it goes with everything. Nothing is easier than jeans and a white tee. Throw on a trench and a statement necklace and your done.
Since I am getting ready for a sale on Sunday I am in major jewellery mode. This necklace is one of the 300 pieces we are selling. It was the only one like it so I just couldn't resist keeping it. This is the problem, I literally want to keep it all!

Addicted to Owls

Yes, I am addicted to cute owls.  No idea why, I just love them. I have three necklaces all of them have been gifts and I adore them all.  This one went perfectly with this sweater. My friend and I have been hard at work this week as we are having another Pop Up Store on Sunday. We have over 300 pieces of jewellery and are trying to price everything, can't wait as it is going to be a ton of fun.
