It's been a while....

I really only meant to take a week or so off from blogging and then life got crazy busy and I just kept putting it off. I'm pretty good with Instagram updates as it take less time but I do miss my blogging. So I thought before I run off to do some errands I would squeeze a post in. I am all about being warm so when I saw this sweater coat I knew it had to be mine. It is perfect for when you don't want to be blogged down by a coat but still be warm.

Another Year Older

It's my Birthday Ug! As much as I love to celebrate other people's Birthday's I really don't like my own. I try not to think about the fact that I am another year older and rather focus on the fact that maybe I am another year wiser. Just got this dress from Zara, love the dark navy with the black sleeves. Don't mind the dog hair all over it, puppy problems!

Expanding Family

So our family grew by one yesterday. We already have one beautiful 15 year old Corgi named Harry and we decided to add another. Meet Charlie. We had our fingers crossed that he was even half as sweet as Harry is and we were thrilled to find his temperament to be the same. It is going to be a crazy next couple of months but worth every minute.

Mid Week Comfort

I wish that you could feel the material of this dress. It is in my opinion the most flattering material for any type of clothing, that mixed with the colour makes this dress a new favourite. I have been wearing these shoes like crazy lately, nothing better than the perfect nude colour to go with everything in your closet. Oh and the wedge makes them really comfy. Causal Fridays

I know I am a little late in posting this, but here is my causal friday outfit. Why do the week-ends go so fast, I can't believe it is Monday already. I had a great week-end, bbq with the family on Friday night, out with friends on Saturday night and last night I finally caved and agreed to accompany my husband and son to go see "Guardians of the Galaxy". Never thought I would ever see a movie that involved a gun toting talking racoon......the things you do for your kids! (and husbands).

One Very Old Top

I am loving this skirt and have worn it in fall and winter. The weather is finally getting a little better so I took advantage and wore this sleeveless sweater. This sweater is probably one of the oldest pieces of clothing I own, I haven't worn it in probably a few years and  I have tried to throw it out a million times but it is actually the sweater I was wearing the night I met my husband (13 years ago). So today I asked him what do you think of this top, thinking there was no way he would ever remember anything about it, he took one look and said "that's what you were wearing the night I met you"......

Versatility

In case you didn't notice, I love clothes that can be worn year round in any season. This dress may look like a summer dress only, but I have worn it in the cold months as well. (See bottom pic). I am all about versatility in my clothes. Amazing colours don't hurt either.

Happy Monday! The weather was terrible all week-end long. Today (back to work day UG!) the weather is supposed to be warm and sunny. Fingers crossed I don't freeze in this dress today. This colour is definitely one of my favourites, I seem to be gravitating towards it every chance I get.

Pink - The Brighter the Better

Well, I am finally back from a little blogging break that included a 4 day trip to Las Vegas! I realized it was actually my 7th time to Vegas. We had such a great time and it was some much needed girl time to sit by the pool and chat, shop, eat, dance and have an all around amazing time. I have spent most of the time since i've been back trying to catch up on some sleep. Today I wore this very bright pink top. This is the kind of colour I used to shy away from, now I say the brighter the better!

Black & White

I never get tired of wearing black and white. It is just the easiest combo and such a staple in everyone's wardrobe. You can't quite tell but these pants are all black in the back and white in the front. I love them! I did switch this blazer on my way out the door, to a different longer boyfriend type blazer which looked better. I will be off again for a few days, heading to Vegas for some much needed "Girl Time".  Hope you all have wonderful week-ends.

60's Inspired

Not gonna lie, feeling a bit like I belong in the 60's with this dress. It is not something I would normally buy but I loved the turquoise colour and easy throw on material. The fact that I had shoes in my closet that matched  (bought over 7 years ago) meant it was meant to be!
