Happy Monday! I am slowly transitioning into spring attire. This hopefully means I do not have to wear boots anymore and can also go sock-less. If ever in doubt of what to wear, black and white is always a good idea.

Happy Sunday. The sun is shining and it is getting warmer (slowly). I think I am going to go out back and shovel the snow off my deck and throw it over the fence onto the sidewalk, there is just a little left and this way it will actually start to look like spring.
Love this quote today, I couldn't agree more.

Neutrals

All dressed in a monochromatic look today. Nothing better than a good neutral colour, not to mention a graphic sweater, throw in a dash of colour and your outfit is ready to go. Happy Friday everyone, fingers crossed that the temperature is going to get into the positive numbers this week-end!

Stripes & Comfy Shoes

I have spent years trying to find comfy heels. I think I have finally found a pair. It was a total fluke as I went into Ecco with my husband, he wanted to buy golf shoes and I usually don't go into this store but thought I would tag along. When I spotted these dark brown heels (pretty sure they were the only heels in the store) I decided to try them on. They were / are so comfy! Hopefully I feel the same way by the end of the day.

Michael Kors

It is no secret that I am a big fan of Michael Kors. I love the new colours that are out and fell in love with this tangerine one as soon as I saw it. I feel like it is a slap in the face to winter, take that cold dull colours it is spring time! Now if only the temperature would go up beyond negative numbers.

Black Pants

This sweater is new and I love it so much. Not sure the pictures do it justice, it is a beautiful burgundy colour with flecks of gold. In fact I loved it so much I bought it in black as well!
If I had to choose one item that is a must for work it would have to be a pair of black pants. They go with every colour and style of top and can be dressed up or down. I lucked out and found this pair a while ago. Happy Friday, hope you all have a wonderful week-end.

Polka Dot Scarves

One of the very few things I like about cold weather is being able to wear scarves. My collection is too large to talk about and I probably did not need to add yet another one. I couldn't however resist when I found this amazing soft grey polka dot one! So what are the other things I like about cold weather? Boots, hot chocolate and flannel sheets.

R&R

 I am back from a wonderful week of R&R! Once we got over the car accident on the way down (luckily everyone was ok!) We decided to just put it behind us and enjoy our vacation. My in-laws take great care of us and we always leave feeling so much better than we arrived. No outfit pics today but I thought I would share a few from our vacation. The beach is one of my favourite places and one day I will live somewhere on a beach.

We rented bikes, it was tons of fun (except riding against the wind).

Taking Chances

Well our vacation got off to a rough start, after driving 15 hours we only had an hour and a half left when we got in a car accident. Someone hit us from behind. Luckily we were all ok however, our car is most likely a write off.  All we could do is be thankful none of us were hurt and just enjoy our much needed (even more so now) vacation.

So now I am resting, relaxing, shopping and having a great time. Love this reminder to take chances......Have a great week!

Spring Dress

I have been a little MIA lately, between being sick, so busy at work and getting ready for my trip, I have not had a lot of extra time. I will be taking all of next week off as I need some rest and to feel some warmth! I'm also really hoping when I get back the weather breaks and winter can finally be put to rest. This is a summer dress that I figured by the time March hit I would be able to wear, well it is still - 25 degrees with snow all over the place so I may have to wait a little longer.

Black & Blue

Today I am feeling so much better. Other than a dry cough I am almost back to normal. Not sure I will actually wear this blouse today with this skirt as I have a tendency to change at the very last minute. I have a cream blouse on standby just in case.

Sick!

I spent all of last week sick! Several days in bed, tons of chicken noodle soup & early to bed every night and I think I am finally on the mend. Today I am going to venture out and get some errands done, thought this quote was fitting.
