Adding some Colour

It has been a busy week and this week is more of the same. So this is one of my outfits from last week that I never go around to posting. Was getting sick of the grey weather so needed to add a bit of colour.

I love taking a piece of clothing and seeing how many different ways you could wear the same piece. While these are not very creative ideas, they are great if you are just begining to experiment. Husbands Choice

My husband is very proud of himself. I actually am too, he picked this dress out for me all by himself and bought it without me present. I was pleasantly surprised that not only did I love the dress, it actually fit me. Maybe he should be shopping for me more often (wink wink).

Happy Sunday! Had a fun night last night with friends, ate at a wonderful italian restaurant and had amazing food. This morning was all about the Easter egg hunt. Hope your all enjoying your long week-ends.

Happy Easter Week-end Everyone! Im enjoying the long week-end with family. One colour I really do not wear is yellow. I probably only have one or two things with yellow in it. It is another colour I was always told I couldn't wear due to my colouring. I have decided to ignore all that and enjoy this bright happy colour.

Boot Weather

Yes, I had to pull out my boots again yesterday. Sunday we were out in the garden and it was a beautiful 23 degrees, Monday is was a warm windy 22 degrees, Yesterday I woke up to this (see pic below). How in the world does it go from 22 degrees to 2 degrees and snowing! To say I was not happy is putting it mildly. All this when I had just pulled out my open toed heels. UG! I so need to move to somewhere tropical.

Happy Birthday Dad!

It's Friday!! I am so looking forward to the week-end. More importantly, today is my Dad's Birthday. He is the reason why I am the best bargain shopper ever, am not afraid to stand up for myself,  have such high expectations for my husband, have a strong work ethic, am a wee bit stubborn and am loyal  to those I love. Thanks for being the best Dad ever!

Red Blazer

I have been on the hunt for a red blazer for a long time and I am so happy I finally found one. One of my favourite colour combo's has to be, black, white and red. On Saturday night when my friend and I went out we both showed up in different combo's of black, white and red. Great minds think alike.

Military Look

Happy Monday! This dress definitely feels very military to me. I love this colour green and style of dress. It is very easy to wear. I think the weather has finally taken a turn, yesterday I sat outside on our deck and read a magazine while soaking up some much needed sun. There was however, very close to my feet, a patch of lingering snow. My husband couldn't take it anymore and shovelled it up and threw it on the grass. Finally Spring is here.

I have had such a fun and busy week-end. Lots of great laughs with friends. One thing about getting older as a woman I truly believe that you find yourself, are way more comfortable in your own skin and know what matters and what doesn't. When I came across this quote it fit perfectly.

Hearts

You could say I love to wear my heart on my sleeve, and you would be right. Literally. I am a sucker for anything with a heart on it, so when I saw this blouse I knew it had to be mine. Blue and green are such a great combo, the best part I bought this belt 2 years ago and it matches perfectly!

Leopard Skirt

I have only worn this leopard skirt one other time in the winter (see pic below). It is a perfect example of an item of clothing you can wear all year round. Below is my spring version and in the summer I plan on loosing the nylons and adding a cute tee. Which look do you prefer?
