A Confession

I have a confession to make.......I really love everything about this shirt, that's not my confession. My Mother-In-Law bought this shirt, nope that is still not the confession. She bought it for my son for his Birthday.....yup there it is, my confession. I have resorted to wearing my 9 yr old son's clothes.

Summer is Finally Here

I feel like summer has finally arrived. This past week-end we went to Ottawa to visit my brother and family and it was so nice to be able to be outside the whole time. Today was also the first day I spent some of my lunch hour outside enjoying the warm air. I can also finally wear some of my dresses I have been holding off on wearing until the weather warmed up. This is one of them!

Happy Birthday!

I have been a very bad blogger lately. I do have reasons, May is probably my busiest month of the year. I have 5 family Birthday's, My Anniversary, Mother's Day and a Wedding this month. So today I am dedicating my blog space to my husband. Happy Birthday!!! You deserve the best and I hope this year is filled with that. Thank you for everything and most importantly putting up with me! May all your wishes come true. xo

Short Week

Yesterday was a holiday for us and we spent a wonderful day at my in-laws sitting outside in the warm but windy sunshine. Holiday's mean short weeks, which I love, all day you think it is Monday and then realize it is already Tuesday! Last week I also celebrated my 10 year wedding anniversary. I am not one who likes to boast too often but I had to post a pic of the ring my husband bought me. Pretty awesome.

Hot Pink Blouse

I have owned this blouse for close to 4 years and this is the first time I have worn it! No idea why, I do love the colour and technically it does go with a lot, however it just kept getting passed over in my closet. When I bought this necklace I instantly thought of this blouse and how great they would go together and there you have it, 4 years later, I am finally wearing this shirt.

Lilac & Tan

Finally! The weather has turned and we had an amazing week-end. It was sunny and warm enough for me to finally be outside in shorts! Had a busy week-end, out for some girly time dancing with a friend on Friday night, BBQ with some friends on Saturday and an amazing Mother's Day yesterday. Topped off with a Soccer Game last night. Hope all the Mommy's enjoyed their days yesterday!

Robot

Those of you that read my Instagram will know that after 10 years of my friend asking, I finally agreed to join her soccer league. I decided it was time to do something that was 1. Outside of my comfort zone and 2. Scared me. It was a lot of fun but it has been many many years since I played soccer and I have barely been able to walk for the past couple of days! It does however, inspire me to get in better shape. So like my necklace here I am feeling stiff and probably resemble a robot as I try to walk the pain out.

Statement Necklace

Last week was so crazy I don't think I posted any of my outfits. This is one that I wore last week. I was most excited to wear my new necklace that I picked up a couple weeks ago. I love statement pieces, they can change an entire look of an outfit. This necklace looks like it would be heavy but it is actually pretty light.

Chicks Love Nerds

Today I am posting something a little different. It is my son's birthday on the week-end and I promised him he could be the star of my blog. He loves looking at my blog and can you believe in Grade 3 they are creating their own blogs! I love this little guy more than anything in the world and he also happens to be pretty fashionable. When he wanted to wear these lens less yellow glasses and his Chicks Love Nerds shirt on the first day of school, I was so proud that he did not once worry about what anyone might say. That is true inspiration.
