Zumba Legs

I finally went to Zumba last night. I signed up last October and went exactly 2 times in 2012, so I thought I was long over due. It was great, and as un-coordinated and out of shape I am, I still managed to have a lot of fun. I do however, feel a little like I have jello for legs today. Loose fitting pants seem to be the best option.

Proenza Schouler

Back in October I did a post about the collaboration of Neiman Marcus and Target for the month of December. Well apparently this was not quite the success they had anticipated. Probably something to do with the price range and target market (no pun intended). When I was down South a couple of weeks ago I popped into the Target to check out if there were any items left. There was quite a lot left and they were all 70% off! I was happy that the one item I had my eye on, the "Proenza Schouler" sweatshirt was still there and the price was $9.00 ....... SOLD!!

Sunday....Quote Day

Had a great time last night at my husband's Christmas Party. Great food, great music and great conversation. With only an hour to spare I decided on the dress below. It was by far the warmest I have ever been at one of these overly air conditioned banquet halls. Oh and I also won a $50 gift card!!

As it is Sunday, I am sharing a quote that I am striving for. So simply put but hard to live by.....

Les Miserables

Last night I got to spend some much needed catch up time with a friend over dinner and a movie. Below is what I wore. We went to see "Les Miserables" and it was incredible. The performances were exceptional and we both left feeling somewhat exhausted from sitting on the edge of our seats. I would highly recommend this. You should like musicals though because what I did not realize is the entire movie is spoken through song. Oh, and there is a little boy who will steal your hearts.

Tonight we have my husbands Christmas Party and I have STILL not decided on what to wear. I am leaning towards options # 4 and #7 (as previously posted).

Love Rock Tee

My husband used to be like most men when shopping, walk into store, find what they need, buy it. I like to think I have slowly changed his ways. He no longer automatically pays full price but will now at least consider the option of checking the sale items first. He is now quite proud when he finds a good deal so much in fact that he likes to brag and say he found better deals than I did. On our most recent trip at the end of a long day of shopping he claimed "I got the best deal of the day $7 for a shirt"........Silly man thinking that was the best deal. Well I claimed I picked up this shirt "Love Rock" at BCBG for $3..... Beat that!

Sunshine

I know it is only January 10th, but the sun is shining brightly, the snow is starting to melt away and rumour has it this week-end is supposed to go over 10 degrees. All of this makes me feel like we are slowly getting closer to spring. So I shed my sweater today (scary for me!) and wore a belt to match the sun.

Sleepy and Polka Dots

I am very tired today. My husband's snoring seems to have gotten worse lately and I am the world's lightest sleeper. I have tried every means possible to assist stop  him from snoring. I have kicked him softly (then hard- almost knocking him out of bed) , elbowed him, plugged his nose and simply woken him up to tell him to please stop snoring. My latest method seems to be the best, I yank the sheets, not too hard but just hard enough to jolt him from his deep sleep.
On a brighter note, I have finally found a polka dot sweater. I have been looking for some time now but couldn't find exactly what I wanted. I don't normally shop at Tommy Hilfiger but popped in (when I was on vacation) and headed straight to the clearance where I found this dream come true for $19.99!!

Emerald - Colour of the Year 2013

It was announced back on December 6th by "Pantone" the global authority on colour and provider of professional colour standards for the design industry, that the colour of the year is EMERALD! I am happy as I love this colour and just about every other shade of green. So when I was away and saw this "Betsey Johnson" emerald belt, I knew I had to get it. Oh and the other deciding factor - It was in the clearance section for $10. Now I just need to think up some ways to wear it. Luckily this colour looks great with black, tan and navy.

L.A.M.B Shirt

So I am back from my week away in South Carolina and while it wasn't Hot Hot it was a beautiful 17 degrees and a whole lot better than what it is here. Since my in-laws go down for 3-4 months every winter, we always go for March Break so this trip was an added bonus! This is also where I usually buy a ton of clothes. I have been trying to repurpose a lot of my wardrobe and have been really good with not shopping in the past 6 months.....until this trip. Will be showing you lots of my finds in the next couple of weeks (ALL found on SALE!) however, they are all still in my suitcase!
So instead here is a shirt I got at a ridiculous price a month or two ago - have you ever seen that Ikea commercial where the lady is running out the store because the prices were so unbelievable, well that was me with this shirt. It is L.A.M.B which are usually crazy priced so when I saw this was $20 on clearance I grabbed it and ran out the store (after paying of course).

7 of 7

Yaaaaa final choice..... Outfit #7 - Now this dress is one that I bought last year and have not had the opportunity to wear. I actually am in LOVE with this dress. Probably because it is by far the warmest dress I have ever owned and I do love to be warm. I have been waiting for an occasion to wear this as it would need to be in the fall/winter. I know that technically bubble skirts are OUT but I don't follow any of that stuff anyway.  Not sure if I will wear the tights or not or if I will wear boots or heels, all I know is that I am dying to wear this dress. (not sure about the lighting on the last picture no idea why it showed up a blueish colour??)

6 of 7

Almost done......Here is outfit #6 - This is probably my least favourite. I do love the colour on the top of the dress which is what I think convinced me to buy it. Don't love the skirt portion and I don't feel like it fits quite right. This will most likely not be my final choice.

5 of 7

I hate that my trip is more than half over now, so nice to have nothing to do but spend time with family, walk on the beach, eat and shop! Here is outfit # 5 - Another simple black dress, I love that this one has a pleated skirt it is my most comfortable dress and has a bit of room if you decide to indulge in the food a little too much.

Outfit #4 - Ok this is definitely one of my favourites. Warning with this dress, when you are taking pictures there will be a reflection from the sequins on everyone's face!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!! It is officially 2013!! I did a lot of reflecting on 2012 as it was a year of change for me. I made some decisions to ultimately live a happier life. This came along with some tough choices but in the end I feel as though I made the right decisions. I have made some amazing memories this past year. I got to spend 10 days in Italy with 20 family members from around the world which my sister organized beautifully. I celebrated my Birthday in Vegas with some friends and spent a week in B.C. with my brother and family.  I have deepened old friendships and made some new ones along the way. I feel great about the past year and look forward to 2013. I welcome more change as I feel this is truly the only way to grow as a person. I am not big on making resolutions as I generally break them all in the first two weeks, however, this quote will be my one goal I will try and stick to.
